RSA has changed its broadcasting frequency to the 87.8 fm wavelength and covers the eastern Axarquia,
by the map below.
The core transmission area radiates from
Nerja and takes in the surrounding towns.
It is the intention
to transmit further afield as soon as administrative and technical
aspects are improved, and RSA has
recently improved its transmission
power to reach a wider audience.
RSA had to change its frequency to avoid signals overlap and interference from other radio stations in some areas, under
Unfortunately, the airwaves are quite crowded in Spain, and if we
find our own signal being interfered with by others,
we can only
accept it as a fact of life that will not change unless regulations
and cordial discussions are taking place with the Junta de Andalucia,
which is encouraging a "socio-cultural station"
rather than a narrow format such as wall-to-wall specialised music
